What Site health shows for speed

Convertlyft measures page speed in the browsers of the people visiting your site, not in a lab test. Site health rates how fast it loads for most visitors (LCP), how quickly it reacts to a tap (INP) and how much the page jumps (CLS), with when something first shows (FCP) and how fast the server answers (TTFB) alongside, for the typical visitor against Google’s thresholds, and lists the slowest pages.

From a slow page to what crossed the line

Pages with poor loads puts the page that held up the most visits first. Open it for which measure crossed Google’s poor line and how often, then add a to-do for it. Files that didn’t load and code that broke are in Errors, sorted by whose code they are.

From a slowdown to the change to make

What to do lists to-dos, each with the measurement behind it and one change to make where there is one. When a page loads in 1.6 times its usual time for the slowest quarter of visits, with at least 20 readings today and before, it adds a to-do under Broken that names the page and both times: how long it took for the slowest quarter of visits today, and how long it usually takes. When you have made the change, press I fixed it; the next check marks it Confirmed fixed or Came back.

What is measured, and what is left out

Every reading comes from a real visit, phones and desktops both counted. Your own visits are left out. How much the page jumps (CLS) is measured only in browsers that report it: Safari and Firefox don’t. How quickly it reacts to a tap (INP) counts only the loads where someone tapped, clicked or typed.

Questions

What are Core Web Vitals?

Google’s measures of how a page feels to the people loading it: how fast it loads for most visitors (LCP), how quickly it reacts to a tap (INP) and how much the page jumps (CLS). Convertlyft shows them with when something first shows (FCP) and how fast the server answers (TTFB).

Where do the numbers come from?

From real visits: each one is measured in the browser of the person visiting your site, not in a lab test. Your own visits are left out.

Which number does Google judge a page by?

For each measure, the value 3 in 4 page loads beat. Site health shows that reading for the typical visitor, against Google’s good and poor lines, and the share of loads in each.

How do I find my slowest pages?

Site health lists the pages with poor loads, ranked by how many loads were poor, so the page that held up the most visits comes first. A load is poor when any measure crossed Google’s poor line.

What happens when a page gets slower?

When a page loads in 1.6 times its usual time for the slowest quarter of visits, with at least 20 readings today and before, What to do adds a to-do under Broken that names the page and both times: how long it took for the slowest quarter of visits today, and how long it usually takes.
